Learn to Row
Have you ever wanted to try out those long skinny boats, but haven’t found the time yet? Come for a short lesson in rowing from the professionals! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! We’ll be taking new rowers (termed “novice”) out in the boats, accompanied by seasoned rowers and a coach, to teach you the basics of the stroke.
Cardio Row Demonstration
Feel the motion as it motivates each part of you and experience one of the most exhilarating workouts around! Cardio Row is a class developed by the Great Miami Rowing Center on the indoor rowing machines, or “ergs” as they’re known by rowers. Try out an erg at the Haunted Row!
Costume
What Halloween isn't complete without some kind of costume!? Wear a funky hat, ghostly makeup, or share some costume items from our closet! Mostly, have fun with it!
Refreshments
After your rowing experience, join us at the Riverbank Café for drinks and appetizers. The Great Miami Rowing Center is a lively group consisting of individuals from Hamilton and beyond! Come make some new friends and learn about this great new sport!
RESERVATIONS
Don't miss your chance! Boats will be cycling out for short rowing lessons and those individuals with reservations will be taken out on the water. If time permits, individuals without reservations may be accomodated, however, we cannot guarantee a seat in a boat.
