The section of the Great Miami River we row on, as with any body of water, has its dangers. Before anyone is eligible to takecrews out on their own without a coaching launch, this safety education class must be completed. This assures crews know what the hazards are in the water and how to avoid them. All small boat scullers will be required to complete a flip test in order to row on this part of the river.

Prerequisites
3 months rowing with GMRC and Basic Skills Development or previous rowing experience

Cost
Free, manual may be printed out online or purchased for $10

Registration
All registrations must be completed or in person. Seats are on a first come first served basis.
