Post Race
After every event, the coach and rowers gather to talk about the pros and cons of the event. Parents, please give this meeting some distance and wait to speak with your athlete until after the “debriefing.”  This is meeting a major part of the learning process.

Coaches, Cox’s Meeting
A mandatory meeting will occur at 7:00 AM on Race Day at the Walnut St. and Sunbury Rd shelter house.  Anyone coxing a race must be at the race site in time for this meeting.

Carpools and Travel
GMRC travels to regattas in carpools.  If you do not have a ride, please notify your coach and our Head Chaperon will assist you in finding transportation to the regatta.  It is every rower’s responsibility to assure arrangements are made in adequate time.

Please refer to the general regatta document handed out at the beginning of the season for recommendations on what to pack and what to leave at home.

Please plan to leave Butler County by 5:00 AM on Saturday morning.

Spectators

Booster Coffee Clutch 8:00 AM
This is a program during the morning for parents and families to gather and review the plan for the day. It is a great way to get updated on the frequent schedule changes. For novice parents, this is a great way to learn about the sport.

Parking
Parking for spectators is available in the upper and lower dam lot (Smokeburr St. and Sunbury Rd)and later at the Windsor Bay shopping center. There will be two shuttle vans to assist beginning at 7:00am.

Passenger Cars
Look for regatta parking signs. There will be shuttles at the upper and lower dam parking lots (the 1st light that you will come to when you see the water, when traveling from the south)at Smokeburr and Sunbury Rd. If these lots are full, the shuttles will go to Windsor Bay shopping center, Sunbury Rd & County Line Rd, (which is north of Walnut)

Boat trailer, food trailer and bus parking
Boats trailers will park at the Walnut Street lot and the boat ramp lot just north of Walnut Street. Food trailers will park at the Walnut Street lot and on Sunbury Rd. curbside near the tents (Saturday morning only). NO OTHER VEHICLES will be allowed to park at the Walnut Street lot or the boat ramp lot. Vehicles dropping off rowers and supplies must do so on Sunbury Rd curbside (lane will be closed) just north of the Walnut St light. That area will be marked drop off zone. No vehicles may remain unattended in this area. We have very limited parking at Walnut St and ask that you please cooperate.
