WHAT IS "MASTERS" ROWING?

A rower may compete as a "masters" rower starting a year or more after high school, typically ranging in age from 21 to 85 years old and may have any level of experience. Masters compete in age-based categories against others of the same class, or with handicaps.

Eligibility: any adult aged 21+ with or without rowing experience are eligible for the Masters team.
Program: Coached rowing with an emphasis on technique and the fundamentals of rowing,  This is for the recreational rower and also for those who would like to compete in regattas.

* Your first 3 practices are complimentary-  Come TRY-us OUT!

TRAINING & COMPETING

GMRC's masters program is a coached program offered 1 to 3 days per week. No experience necessary!  The program hosts both experienced rowers who would like to maintain or fine tune their rowing skills as well as brand new rowers with no experience who want to exercise or learn new skills -all while enjoying camaraderie during early morning practices 3 days each week!

There will be opportunities each season for those that would like to compete in regattas.  It is not a requirement to participate in regattas.  These will be planned based off of interest.
